We had a great first day today. We met with some of the production team
including Gary Musick, the owner of the company. He took us all out to lunch and we got the run down of what to expect while we’re on board. For the rest of the day we were learning music. Since there’s only four of us I actually get to do a TON of singing, which I love. It’s still just me and the two boys and they are actually childhood best friends. They both grew up in Brooklyn and they are both (hiss) YANKEES FANS. Yuck. Despite this major flaw we have been getting along great. I am looking forward to Margaret joining us though so we can finally be a group and so I can ask her lots of questions. She has been working for Oceania for six years! Uncle Wayne gave me a great idea for my blog. I’m going to have a “Sunsets” section so I can post pictures of sunsets all over the world. First stop: Nashville. Here’s the view from my room.

I have arrived in Nashville, yeehaw! It feels very strange to be back in the
same hotel rooms driving in the same van but without the same people. I do have one fellow cast member from the last cruise, Jonathan, but it doesn’t feel the same as when there was 11 of us staying here. My roommate isn’t joining us until next week so for now I have the place to myself. I knew I was on my way to Nashville when the flight attendant informed us there might be some “turb-ah-lance.” Her first announcement sounded something like, “If you’re seated in an exit row you must be at least 15 years old, must be able to stay calm and not be easily dis…” Then she didn’t say anything for a minute while she did something else and then came back to say, “um, must not be easily, um, distracted.” I guess I was the only one who found this funny because when I laughed out loud my neighbor just stared up at me from his book. “Enjoy your flight to…” Silence. “Haha, where? Oh, Nashville!” I knew I was in good hands. And so the adventure begins… |
