Ciao from Roma! From the time I left the hotel in Nashville to the time I
arrived at the hotel in Civitavecchia was only about 17 hours but with the time difference I pretty much lost an entire day. It felt really weird to be back in Civi, where my last ship docked every Wednesday. I made sure I got pizza (four cheeses) from the place we went every week and gelato (mint chocolate chip) from the lady on the corner. We got here a day before we needed to board the ship so we had a whole day to kill and try to stay awake. After we ate pizza and ice cream the boys and I decided to take the train into Rome just for something to do. We visited the Spanish Steps and then walked over to the Trevi Fountain. They say that if you throw a coin into the fountain that it guarantees your return to Rome. The last time I was in Rome I threw in a coin but I didn’t want my only return to be in the airport so I’m glad I made it back there.
